Software Project Manager

We’re looking for an experienced project manager (m/f/x) to help us plan, design, build, and ship our web and mobile tools for healthcare and health logistics. Our products shape health systems, and our project managers are at the forefront of those transformations, working with our users, product teams, subject matter experts, and field staff to define, refine and roll out each of the products in their portfolio. You will be leading project scheduling, stakeholder management, rollout management, people planning, and providing process and practice support and coaching to our technical teams.

Given the ambition of Field products, you will need to share a deep curiosity about the contexts in which we develop solutions, a high degree of creativity, and fluency with a range of quantitative methods for design research and product development.

This is a full-time position, with frequent (but negotiable) travel requirements.

Required

  • Experience with and passion for design research and cross-cultural team management
  • 4+ years' working experience in a software project management role, with experience managing large and/or enterprise systems through the entire development lifecycle
  • Comfortable working with large scale digital transformation projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to facilitate collaborations among stakeholders with extremely diverse technical and cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work and interact cross-functionally with experts on technical subject matter, developers, business development, public and private sector clients
  • High degree of organisation and experience with pragmatic implemention of software development best
  • Excellent organisational and creative problem solving skills
  • Willing to travel (Europe and Africa)
  • Language skills: English (fluent)

Preferable

  • Professional experience

    • with a range of software development modalities (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban)
    • working on data-driven decision-support systems, especially enterprise systems
    • designing with and for technologically novice users
    • working remotely and with distributed teams
    • working in sub-saharan Africa
  • Location: Abuja or Berlin
  • Language skills: English (fluent)
